What is Gum Treatment? 

Gum treatment is a form of treatment applied in case of receding or weakening of the gums. 

What are the symptoms of gum disease?

How is Gum Treatment Done? 

In the first stage, hard deposits on the teeth are usually removed with special tools. You are taught how to clean disease-causing microbial dental plaque with correct techniques. This treatment alone may be sufficient for simple gingivitis. In order to treat inflamed, enlarged or receding gums in severe infections, periodontal surgical procedures are performed under local anesthesia and in some cases, auxiliary biomaterials (such as bone powder, membrane) are used.  The aim of the treatment is to stop the progression of the disease, to enable the patient to clean himself correctly and effectively, and to enable individuals to function comfortably with their natural teeth for many years. After a successful gum treatment, the gums become light pink in color, non-bleeding and hard in consistency, loosening of the teeth subsides, and the problem of bad breath disappears.
