Pediatric dentistry (pedodontics) refers to the healthy protection and treatment of milk and permanent teeth of children between the ages of 0-12.

Early treatment of dental disorders during the period when children's first teeth appear prevents tooth decay, permanent tooth disorders, and irreversible tooth loss and dental disorders in the future.  

In pediatric dentistry, there are procedures to prevent tooth decay, treatment and restoration of decayed primary and permanent teeth, extraction of untreatable teeth, space maintainer applications against the negativities that may arise due to early tooth loss, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of gum diseases seen in childhood and young individuals. applications are included. 

Pedodontics follows the development of the mouth, teeth and jaw from infancy and applies various treatment methods to protect dental health.

Different practices are used in the treatment of primary teeth. 

Root canal treatments, compomer fillings, amalgam fillings and steel crowns can be applied to primary teeth. These treatments are sufficient for the permanent teeth below to function until their eruption time. The most damaged areas in children as a result of accidents and traumas are the mouth and teeth. Usually, trauma to the front teeth causes the teeth to break or the tooth to come out completely from the bone. The first thing to do in such injuries is to find the tooth and gently wash it under water without touching the root part. You should go to the dentist as soon as possible. After proper treatment, there is a high probability that these teeth will fuse back into place. Different applications can be performed depending on the location of the fracture and the condition of the bone. 

The treatments of our patients who cannot comply with dental treatments due to their young age, physical or mental disability, who cannot cooperate, who have a syndrome, and who come from far away and require multiple dental treatments at once, are treated in the general anesthesia unit in the daily operating room within our hospital.
