Upper eyelid aesthetics or eyelid deformation surgery is the process of cutting and removing excess skin fat and muscle tissue in the area. An incision is made from the eyelid fold line so that the surgical scar is not visible.
How Is Upper Eyelid Aesthetics Performed?
The surgical incision is made just below the eyelashes. The skin is removed and the fat packets found here are spread to the under eye pit and the excess skin and muscle are cut and taken, so the procedure is completed. If the under eye collapse continues after surgery, under eye fat or filler injection may be required after recovery.
The procedure is performed by using short acting anesthetic materials called sedoanalgesia and thus discharging the daily person. After the procedure, it is dressed with thin sterile tapes that do not close the eyes. Sutures can be removed after an average of seven to ten days.
What Should Be Considered Before Eyelid Aesthetics?
Due to the risk of increasing the tendency of bleeding during surgery, the use of drugs such as aspirin and blood thinners should be discontinued at least ten days before the procedure. Again, it is recommended not to use herbal teas and alcohol that dilute the blood.
