Treatment of Eye Diseases in Allergic and Inflammory Conditions

Styes: It is the swelling of the eyelid as a result of inflammation of the hair follicle. According to the location of the inflammation in the hair root, it is classified as internal sty and external sty. Styes, redness in the eye, stinging, green discharge, pain in the eyelid and burring may be seen.

Chalazion: It is the lump formed in the eye as a result of inflammation of the sebaceous glands. Chalazion may form as internal styes. Although it starts as a small stylet or pimple, redness and swelling increase afterwards and become painful and red.

Blepharitis: Blepharitis is also known as eyelid inflammation. It is a chronic disease caused by inflammation of the eyelids. In the inflammation of the eyelids, it is often necessary to carry out daily care and cleaning at home.

Conjunctivitis: As a result of inflammation of the white part of the eye (sclera) and the inner part of the eyelids, the eye acquires a red appearance. For this reason, this disease is called red eye among the people. Usually, the treatment process continues with eye drops, pomade and daily cleaning and care, and it heals in a one week to ten day period.

Allergic Conjunctivitis: Also known as eye allergy among the people. The patient's eye reacts to allergens from the environment. There may be stinging sensation in the eyes, redness, burning in the eye, itching and sensitivity to light. Antihistamine drops, hot and cold compresses, daily eye cleaning and care, pomades are used in the treatment of this disease.

Seasonal Allergic Conjunctivitis: This type of conjunctivitis is the most common type. In spring, as a result of the pollen in the air during the season transitions, an allergic reaction occurs in the eye and creates an allergic problem. If the eye comes into contact with more allergens, inflammation may increase.

Contact Eye Allergy: This type of allergic eye disease occurs when the eye reacts to chemical products. It is caused by the fact that the individual has an allergic eye structure to some drugs or some cosmetic products. In the prevention and treatment of allergic reactions, artificial tear drops, antihistamine drops are usually used.

Uveitis: It is a serious disease that can cause vision loss as a result of inflammation of the uvea (middle part of the eye). If this inflammation of the eye is not treated, it causes blindness. Since it is a recurrent disease, urgent treatment is required to prevent permanent damage.
